Accessibility FAQs

We want everyone to feel at home with us — both online and in person. Below you’ll find answers to some common questions about accessibility at our church and on our website. If you don’t see your question here, please get in touch — we’d love to help.

Is your website accessible?
Our site is designed to be simple to navigate, with clear headings, readable text, and image descriptions where needed. If you use a screen reader or need larger text, it should work smoothly. Please let us know if you spot anything that could be improved.

How accessible is the church building?
Both our church hall and the main church building have step-free access. We also have an accessible toilet. If you’d like to talk through access before visiting, just get in touch.

Can I bring a wheelchair, pushchair, or mobility aid?
Absolutely. We’ve arranged our space to be welcoming for everyone, and our team will gladly make adjustments so you can join in comfortably.

What support do you provide for people with hearing or visual impairments?
We have a hearing loop system and words used in songs, congregational prayers and readings will be displayed on the screen. If you would prefer seating near the front, a copy of the sermon notes or would like extra help, let us know and we’ll be glad to assist.

Are services accessible for children or adults with additional needs?
Yes. Our services are relaxed — it’s okay to make noise, move around, or take breaks. We want everyone to feel welcome. If you or your family members have specific needs, please let us know, so we can do our best to support you.

Do you have accessible parking?
All the parking for our church is on-road so cannot be guaranteed. Whilst we cannot reserve a space for you, there is usually plenty of space within the immediate vicinity.

What if I have sensory sensitivities (e.g. to noise or lighting)?
Our services include music of varying tempos and with different instruments. If you’d like a quieter space or a heads-up about what to expect, we’d be happy to talk it through with you. We currently do not use any additional lighting other than our main house lights.

Can I bring my assistance dog?
Yes — assistance dogs are welcome in our building.

Who can I contact about accessibility questions or support?
You can contact hello@springwoodchurch.co.uk with any additional questions. We’d love to talk with you and make sure you feel at home when you visit.
